We have acquired first-hand knowledge of coastal environments in the continental United States, the Alaskan Arctic, and the northeast coast of Sakhalin Island, Russia. In addition to undertaking coastal studies within the framework of our specialized expertise, we have managed large multi-disciplinary programs in marine-related areas as diverse as island design, regional assessments of coastal stability, and coastal construction.
Since 1980, the principals of the company have maintained a continuous involvement in the Arctic while directing more than 200 projects in Alaska, Canada, Kazakhstan, and Russia. Using analytical design techniques, large-scale model testing, and SCUBA diving inspections of offshore structures, we have pioneered the development of innovative slope protection systems tailored to both Arctic and temperate environments. Our project experience includes coastal engineering support for the four offshore oil and gas development projects that currently exist in the Alaskan Beaufort Sea: Endicott, Northstar, Oooguruk, and Nikaitchuq.
Our clients include both government agencies, private corporations, and non-profit organizations. Because of the specialized nature of our expertise, we also are retained as consultants by other engineering firms and attorneys.
